How it all began
Our Story
How We Met
We were school going teenagers when we first met while we attended tuitions. We both knew we existed, and we both were fascinated with each other (as we later found out), but never had the courage to speak to each other. Until about 8 years later..
How we were re-acquainted
Almost 8 years after the last time we saw each other, One of us received a subtle reaction to a story posted in Instagram, and along with it a short message, which got us talking. We later found out that this was encouraged and made possible by our "Cupid", our dearest mutual friend Rupjyoti.. to whom we are indebted forever. Sarashi had already completed her final year of graduation and was about to pursue her first job in Guwahati, while Harsha was still in college 200 kms apart, in his final year of graduation. We talked, we met, something clicked and everything fell into place.
7 Years of Long Distance
Soon after Covid had hit, and we were locked down in our homes just a few minutes apart. Eventually we travelled to pursue our respective careers, living in different parts of the country throughout the years counting days until the next meeting. And the journeys we made home, the detours, the rendezvous, knowing we would see each other again has always been the best part.
Long.. Longer.. Longest
Ever since we got together, our physical distance grew gradually. From a couple of Kilometers to a few hundred, to a few thousand and finally over 10 thousand kilometers when Harsha travelled abroad, and Sarashi re-located in Mumbai, seeking career opportunities. Contrastingly, emotionally we grew closer and our love grew stronger through all the separation, hard ships, longings and dream of a future together.
Our Super Cool Families
We announced about our affair to our respective families quite early in our journey, as soon as we were both fairing well in our careers. We have been in awe ever since, of the love, support and respect we have been receiving from both our families. Its quite amusing how the two families have independently developed friendship and kinship while we are thousands of miles away.
Its Our Second Wedding: Because the pen is mightier than the ring.
We made our relationship official by getting registered as a married couple in 2024. Because, why not! What we are having now is the second wedding, or the afterparty. Justice delayed but not denied.
